ok, i’m finished with my online classes for the semester. wow - that was a lot of work. i just bound and mailed my final report - a measly 70 pages (ok like 30 of those are an irs form, but still). i am just glad that this semester is over. now i just have the two ksu classes to focus on - which will suck. in one of my classes - no grades at all yet. in the other, two final papers/projects to finish by next week. that’s about all right now - maybe more later - oh! go check out the main page, let me know what you think of my changes…trying to slim it down a little…
ok sorry - hopefully when the semester starts to simmer down i’ll be able to post more. i have a new webhosting service, and i might be making some changes to the format of the main site. i think the blog will stay the same cause i sort of like wordpress, but we’ll see. i finally moved dreamweaver onto the laptop, since that is pretty much the only computer i’m using now. hopefully that will give me some incentive to make more changes to the site and keep it updated and fresh.
i was in vegas for thanksgiving. holy crap what a place. some of you may know my feelings about amusement parks - well, the same now goes for vegas. i had a great time, but mostly cause i got to see friends i hadn’t seen in forever, and that is always nice. some of vegas can be fun, but mostly, it’s an overload to the senses. plus, the people there are very similar to those who frequent amusement parks. i think i’m just developing a severe phobia of germs, etc., and places like that are so dirty and the people are all touching everything, and just yuck. anyway, i didn’t lose any money, so that was pretty good! everytime i sat down to play roulette though 20 had just hit, so i never hit my big payout
the semester is almost over. i’m pretty much finished with my online classes, and only have final projects in the two ksu classes. this has been a hard semester with both classes. i can’t wait for it to be finished.
a light at the end of the tunnel though, i will be finishing the nonprofit degree in dec. 07 - so just one more year. i’m finishing so fast because i’m transferring 3 courses from ksu to count towards that degree. so that is a major plus, it’s saving me 2 semesters! also, at ksu i’m going to be going to puerto rico between spring and summer semester for 2 weeks which will give me 3 hours of creative writing credit. can’t beat that!
on the job front: all of the above might change if i decide to change jobs. i have two interviews this friday. one with the carter center for a really good job doing exactly what i want to be doing in my career. the other is a second interview with prevent child abuse georgia doing work similar to what i’m doing now. however, i’ve also been verbally promised a promotion here at ksu starting in july. so i might have some major changes coming up, depending on how the interviews go. either way, i am planning on moving to the midtown area this spring. i have decided that although my commute to work/school is great, i need to get out of the suburbs. there is no way for me to have any kind of life out here, so i need to go where the fun is
i might be crazy buying my own place and giving up my free rent, but it’s time to grow up (a little).
well, that was a pretty big update, apparently i had a lot to say! i’ll try to be better, but you know how that goes
i hope everyone voted today.
kfed and brit split up - gee i thought they were gonna last forever…
wow - ok i guess i’ll post an update on my life. i’ve been pretty busy, and since it seems like all i do on my blog is complain about how busy i am, i guess i haven’t had much news. things are going pretty well…i’m working the system, so i might be able to finish the mnm degree by fall 2007. which would be awesome! i’m planning on going to puerto rico in may for a two week writing workshop which will give me 3 hours of credit here in the mapw program which should be fun. i’m actually really excited about the puerto rico trip - i haven’t been anywhere in forever it seems. although i am going to las vegas for thanksgiving in a couple of weeks - that should be a blast too. i’m a little pissed we didn’t get tickets for the cirque show featuring all beatles songs (they are sold out). that would have been cool. other than that, things are pretty much status quo.
